Nominator's project description

Professor Ho is well known internationally for his outstanding research in submillimeter radio astronomy. He has made important contributions to our understanding of the molecular phase of galaxies. Professor Ho combined deep insight in molecular spectroscopy and observing methods with the foundation of state-of-the art submillimeter facilities, especially the Submillimeter Array. During his stay in Germany, he intends to study planet formation in protoplanetary disks with a special emphasis on chemistry and turbulent state of these objects.
